Howard and Jason have proudly called Round Lake home for 20 years. After an extensive search across the country, they chose Round Lake for its open spaces, welcoming neighbors, and incredible potential for growth. It felt like the perfect place to plant roots and build a life.
Howard has always kept a close eye on what’s happening in the community, but he was especially motivated to get involved when the Ski Hill/Mud Hill project was proposed and helping to convey our displeasure with the idea. By attending meetings and having meaningful conversations with neighbors about what’s best for Round Lake, Howard was inspired to take the next step and run for Trustee.
Giving back has always been a big part of Howard’s life.
He’s passionate about helping others and has spent years contributing to his community and mentoring the next generation. His efforts include:
✔️ Mentoring undergraduate students at universities like DePaul, Northwestern, and California State Long Beach, all while living in Round Lake
✔️ Volunteering at the USO at Great Lakes Naval Base
✔️ Helping build homes in multiple states with Habitat for Humanity
✔️ Teaching Junior Achievement programs in elementary schools
Professionally, Howard has led marketing strategy teams for both independent and global agencies, crafting award-winning campaigns for iconic brands like Coca-Cola, Oreo, and Bacardi.
These experiences have taught Howard the value of staying people-focused and connected—ensuring that any program, project, or initiative is truly meaningful and serves the community’s needs.
As a Trustee, Howard wants to bring his skills in marketing research, digital strategy, and creative problem-solving to strengthen Round Lake’s connectivity with its residents and boost the village’s commercial appeal.
Howard believes that by working together, we can create a stronger, more connected community that reflects the best of what Round Lake has to offer. He’s honored to be a part of the Round Lake Forward slate and looks forward to serving as your Trustee and creating an even more vibrant Round Lake for everyone.
