Kevin and his family have called Round Lake home for nearly 19 years, moving here after finding a home and neighborhood they loved (at first sight), as well as the access to public transportation and the new schools. Having found their forever home, Kevin and his wife added to their family and are now a family of 6 proudly enjoying all that our Village has to offer.
Knowing this is their forever home, Kevin was inspired to get involved within Round Lake to help everyone enjoy all the community has to offer. As a co-founder, with his wife Anastassia, of the Round Lake Area Bicycle Club, Kevin has worked, not only to create a welcoming group of passionate bicyclists and cycling events, but he has also worked with the Village to increase safety for riders and provide our area youth with opportunities to build their own bikes, ones they can be proud to own.
Kevin’s dedication to our Village grew through active participation to oppose the Ski Hill/Mud Hill proposal. Kevin voluntarily walked the neighborhoods and provided residents with key information that encouraged them to show up and be participative in the very important decision-making that resulted in the proposal’s defeat.
It was the Ski Hill/Mud Hill proposal that inspired Kevin to run for Village Trustee. In 2023 he was elected to the role and is proud of the hard work that has been completed on behalf of the Village including:
✔️ Voting to serve notice to the owner of the CHDS dump site that the Village will terminate the lease upon expiration of the current term
✔️ Voting against a huge water rate increase
✔️ Championing fiscal responsibility within the Village
✔️ Serving on the Village Liquor Commission
Kevin brings years of legal experience to the role of Village Trustee, much of which was gained as a member of our country’s Air Force. His legal experience has provided him with an understanding of laws, regulations, and codes, as well as helped enhance his negotiation skills. As a civilian, Kevin worked for Charles Schwab where understanding agency regulations and compliance was paramount to success in his role.
With his passion, dedication, legal know-how, and compliance understanding, Kevin wants to continue to focus on new ways to drive community engagement and on bringing new business opportunities that will truly benefit our Village as a whole.
